Students practice the use of the target language in the context of places in towns.
Procedure (37-46 minutes)
I will come into the lesson with a to do list in my hand. I will elicit the words "mayor", "town hall" and "bakery"
Teacher introduces the vocabulary about places in towns by showing pictures. After elicitation, he drills and writes the board.
Teacher gives the HO and sets 7 minutes for this activity. Students do the activitiy alone first, then teachers asks them to check their answers in pairs. Finally teacher gives the answerkey.
Teacher hands out a puzzle, and students fill in the puzzle with the key vocabulary of the lesson. When they have finised, first they check in pairs then the teacher gives the answerkey.
Teacher puts the students into groups of two, and gives out a Handout on which he wants them to write about the town they live in. When they have finished, they will compare their hometowns with their pair's. If they have time, the teacher wants each student to read out one or two sentences.
