Procedure (46-52 minutes)
- Show the students a world map - Ask the students where in the world they want to travel and give some reasons for each places. - Ask them to give some specific information about geographical features of these places - After a quick chat, let students talk about this topic with their pairs
- Show the students some pictures and elicit the meaning -Check the meaning -Drill the words -Board the words -Label the words -Check the students' understanding with the pictures -Show the picture and ask students to say it
-Ask the students to work in teams and arrange the groups. -Give the instructions. -Tell the students to find the places on the map with the features they have in the exercise. -Show the students how to do the task -Tell the students that the team that finishes first will be the winner. -Give visual feedback
- Ask students to work in pairs - Tell them to describe a place from the map without saying its name. - Be a model after the instructions -Remind the time limit
- Show the students the tourism map of Turkey - Ask them to work in groups of three - Tell them to imagine that they are working at tourism agency and to choose a place in Turkey to tell their friends and give reasons why the customers should visit those places. - After each students talk about the places they want - Students will choose the places they like best
- Choose a volunteer - H/she turns back in order not to see the board - All the students in the team try to describe the word without using its name
