Procedure (26-35 minutes)
I will show the students a few slides with a girl and a boy who think they are fat, although it isn't so. By asking questions like:"Why do you think she thinks she is fat, if she is slim?" and " Is he really so short and fat as he thinks of himself?" Yes/No, Why. My next slide will be about turkish celebrities, I'm sure our students will like to see them, and will be more eager to talk about them.
T will pass out slips of paper with six vocabulary words on them, with the appropriate definition. Ss will work in pairs to match the words to the correct definition. After Ss are finished, T will go over the correct answers.
I will show the article first, then focus students on the question that they need to answer after their first time reading. They will be given two minutes to read through the entire article, and find the names of celebrities. After they finish reading the article, the whole class feedback is appropriate.
I will introduce exercise 3 to the Ss, and they will read the article second time, focusing on specific information to do the ex, After the Ss finish the exercise, they will check their answers in pairs.
Teacher will have Ss discuss in pairs, two questions. Whether it is a seriousmedical problem and how people who have it can be helped. After the exercise is over, teacher will ask one or two students to share.
Students will be given a handout with an exercise to practice new vocabulary.
Teacher will have Ss in pairs, and they will discuss whther people are too obsessed with their appearance nowadays.. At the end of the exercise, teacher will choose a couple students to share with the class.
