Procedure (30-41 minutes)
I am going to ask students some questions related to animals, especially focusing on dogs and how dogs can be helpful and for whom.
Basing on my presentation in PPT, students will have to match the words with their definitions and then, as a practice, fill in the blanks.
Ss will hear an interview with a trainer of guide dogs. I am going to split the interview into few parts as it is long.
Ss listen second time and answer the questions in ex. 2
In pairs, the students willdiscuss whether they agree or not that guide-dogs really help blind people, and give their reasons.
I will write the word "get" in large letters in a circle in the middle of the board with arms extending to the certain five boxes. Together with Ss we will try to make sentences using the verb "get" with a certain meaning. After the test, I will get Ss to skim ex 1, p.23, -Vocabulary: collocations with get. Then I will draw their attention to the board and ask Ss in pairs to match the words with their meanings which are already in my PPT.
After my instructions, Ss will do the ex. 3, p.13, from the workbook, which is to rewrite the sentences with the correct form of the expressions in the box.
As a freer practice, Ss will have to continue the story in ex. 4, p.13 from the Workbook, using "get" expressions. The teacher gets feedback from 2-3 students.
