To review and practice the use of the present continuous to talk about things happening now and around now in the context of weddings.
Subsidiary Aims

To give sts semi-controlled speaking practice to develop their spoken accuracy.
Procedure (34-51 minutes)
Teacher will give the students jumbled sentences from the text related to present continuous and present simple and ask the student work in pair and jumble them. The answer from the students will write on the board. WC feedback
1) Students will be asked to tell the differences between present continuous and present tense through ICQs. 2) They will be asked to differentiate state verbs and present continuous through CCQs. 3) Teacher will get them to tell her the form of the present continuous through CCQs.
Teacher will emphasis the importance of understanding the topic. She may ask the students to tell their sentences.
1) Teacher will ask ICQs in order to get answers related to differences between present continuous and present simple from students When do we use present continuous? What are the differences between present continuous and present simple? 2) Teacher will ask CCQs in order to see if students understand the usage of state verbs Do state verbs include action? (No) Do state verbs include general condition? (Yes) Do we use them in present continuous? (No) Do we use them ın present simple or past simple? (Yes) 3) Teacher will ask CCQs to check if the students know the form of present continuous. Do we use am/is/are in present continuous? (Yes) Do we use -ing with verb in present continuous? (Yes) Do we use -(e)s with verb for 3rd person?
T will give a handout related to present continuous and give the structures that Ss should follow. They will work in pairs. WC feedback to check answers.
Teacher will give students practice activity. Before giving the activity paper, T will check if the students have any vocabulary problem related to the activity. Students will work in pairs. They will use present continuous in order to describe a picture.
T will ask students to think about their favorite color and why they love this color. Students will work in pairs. Students will share their ideas
