Procedure (42-52 minutes)
Draw a stick man with a huge thought balloon on the board Put five pictures in the thought balloon. A picture of the Mona Lisa, Big Ben, a fashion show, the stage of Tomorrowland, a beach. Put five pictures outside the thought balloon. A picture of a soccer game and a picture of the Brandenburg Gate. Ask students to look at the board What is the stick man doing? He is making a plan.
Write Euro Tour! above the thought balloon. Replace the pictures on the board with the following statements; See the Mona Lisa in Paris Watch fashion shows in Milan Visit Big Ben in London Party at Tomorrowland in Belgium Swim in Ibiza Watch ''El clasico'' in Barcelona Take a picture of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. Write the following sentences under the thought balloon. He is going to see the Mona Lisa in Paris. He is going to watch fashion shows in Milan. He is going to visit Big Ben in London. He is going to party at Tomorrowland in Belgium. He is going to swim in Ibiza. He is not going to watch ''El Clasico'' in Barcelona. Distribute the handouts taken from Cambridge Grammar in Use Elementary. Firstly students look at he four pictures and write what they are planning. What are they planning? Then, students look at exercise two and fill the blanks with the given verbs in the correct sentences using the future tense. Students check their answers with other students. Give the answer key.
