To provide review, clarification and practice of there is/there , how much/how many and countable/uncountable nouns in the context of flats and apartments .
Subsidiary Aims

To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of describing a flat .
Procedure (45 minutes)
*Ask them what they remember from Ibtissam's lesson . *Elicite there is/there are .
*Ask what is the difference between there IS and there ARE *Elicit countable nouns and uncountable nouns . *Ask them for examples . *Write some of the examples on the WB .
*Put them into groups . *Ask them to count the number of students in their groups . *Ask them the number of students in the class . *Ask them the number of teachers in the class . *Ask them if they know how to make a question about the number of something . *Elicit the form how MANY for PLURAL COUNTABLE nouns . *Ask them to count the air in the class . *Ask them to count the money in their wallets or pockets . *Ask them if they know how to make a question about the amount of an uncountable thing . *Elicit the form how MUCH for UNCOUNTABLE nouns . *Write the forms on the WB .
*Explain the activity . *Do a demo . *Give them the HOs 1 . *Students fill in the gaps individually . *Students check their answers in pairs . *Teacher checks the answers with the whole class *Teacher puts the answers on the WB .
*Elicit and Pre-teach real estate agency and estate agent . *Ask them what they like about the flat in the ad and if they like it or not . *Explain the listening activity . *Do a demo . *GIve them the HOs 2 . *Students listen for the first time and put the things in order . *Teacher checks the answers with the whole class and put the answers on the WB . *Teacher explain the activity and do a demo . *Students listen again and check the sentences true or false . *Teacher checks the answers with the whole class .
*Teacher tells them to look at the sentences in exercise 7 again *Teacher writes some examples on the WB . *Elicit the grammar . *Give them HOs 3 *Students complete the chart individually . *Students check the answers in pairs . *Teacher check the answers with the whole class .
