Procedure (35-46 minutes)
T sticks several pictures with a dog on the WB for the topic's (a day off) introduction. T asks what the Ss see in it, T also shortly comments each picture (pictures are numbered) T says that all pictures are about Cookie's (dog's name) Sunday routine, his day off (lets refer Cookie as "he", not "it").
T sticks two pictures (Ian and Becky) on the WB, asks Ss what do they do (Ian and Becky) on Sunday mornings (PW- one minute) T says that Ss will read the text about Ian and Becky, but before that Ss are exposed to new lexis. T introduces new lexis by eliciting information from the SS with the WB's and pictures' help (sticks extra two pictures with the busy/not busy restaurants).
T divides whole Ss into As and Bs. T gives folded in half HO. A Ss read the text about Ian, B Ss- about Becky. Individual Reading. Ss unfold the HOs, tick correct sentences, correct the wrong sentences. Everybody Stands up, check the answers (As with other As, Bs with other Bs) T gives the AK. Everyone turns his/her HO up side down, tells each other (As to Bs) what they know about Ian and Becky. T gets FB from several Ps.
T gives folded HO. Ss (individualy) have to fill the missing words (Ss who were Bs, now have A HO). Ss check their answers with each other (As with As, Bs with Bs) Ss unfold their HO, check the answers. T asks what is the difference between get up and wake up (refers to Ian's and Becky's photos)
Using a text as a reference SS write a short text about their day off (Sundays routine). PW, SS tell about their Sundays routine to each other. WC FB, T asks several Ss to describe their colleague's Sundays routine.
