1.T will enter the class with the pic of Ss that she took yesterday in their break time and ask the Ss: "what is it?", Ss will say some words, for example: "break", "tea", "coffee" and etc. 2.T will say: "It is after your class when you were free, you relaxed, had tea, coffee,..., so it is your ...?". Ss will say: "free time", if they couldn't T will say: "your... time", if they still couldn't, T will say: "your free time". 3.T will drill the word with the Ss and then ask them to talk about what they usually do in their free time with their partners.
1. T will present and practice the vocabulary that the Ss need to understand the text and make it accessible. 2. T will show the first pic to the Ss and ask them: "What does it show?", Ss will say: "Concert" and then T will say: "go to concerts" and drill it with Ss. T will focus on the stress of the phrase by tapping her foot on the floor and ask Ss to do it with her. T will stick the pic on the WB. 3. T will elicit and practice all the words in the same way with the Ss. The words are: 1. go to concerts 2. go shopping 3. play tennis 4. play video games 5. go to the cinema 6. go out with friends 7. watch TV or DVDs 8. eat out 4. T will give some flash cards with the written form of the words to the Ss and ask them to match the words with the pics on the WB and stick the flash cards on the WB near the correct pic. 4. Ss will need all of these words to understand the text and answer its questions. They will also need to use these words in the freer practice stage when they want to talk about their own free time activities.
1. T will show the text to the Ss and say: "This is a text that is an interview with Ruby and Phil Conner (T will show Ruby's and Phil's pics at the same time) and ask them to read it very quickly and find three things that they do in their free time. T will ask them to do it in two mins. ICQs: alone? Yes, Time: 2 mins, three/five things? three. 2. T will ask the Ss to share their answers together and then check their answers through a WCF.
1. T Will show a HO with more detailed questions to the Ss and ask them to read the text again and mark the sentences T/F. T will ask them to do it in 5 mins. ICQs: Time? 5 mins, alone/together? alone. 2. T will monitor the Ss very carefully and help them whenever needed. T will give them more time if necessary. 3. T will ask the Ss to share their answers together and then check their answers randomly. When the S answer the question T will ask the other Ss: "T/F?", and when T check the answers with the WC will ask the S again: "Why?", T will ask them to correct the false sentences too. 4. T will divide the Ss into 3 groups and ask them to come up and stand in front of the HO ( This HO is an A3 paper with a text with some blanks in it) that she already stuck on the wall. T will give them some flashcards with different colors for each group. T will ask the Ss to read the text and fill the blanks with words. 5. T will model the task first with her HO. T will ask the Ss to read the first sentence: 'Today we talk to Ruby Conner and her........, Phil.' T will ask the Ss: "Can I put 'concert' here?", Ss will say: "No", T will say: "fruit?", Ss will say: "No", T will say: "brother?" Ss will say: "Yes". Then T will ask them to fill the blanks with their group members. The winner is the one who finishes first. T will monitor the Ss very carefully. 6. When they finish, T will give the Ss an answer key and ask them to check their answers with their group members.
1. T will say to the Ss: "Do you remember the title of the reading text?", and will show and point to the title of the text at the same time. Ss will say: "Best of British", Then T will show a new hand out to the Ss and ask them to look at the pic and the title of the HO. T will say: "What is the title?", Ss will answer: "Best of Turkish". T will ask the Ss to ask and answer the questions with each other and will give the HO to them, but she will explain the instruction first. 2. T will ask the women in the classroom to come up and make a circle in the class, but with their faces out. Then T will ask the men in the classroom to come up too and make a circle around the women in a way that they will be face to face after that. T will stand on a chair for the rest of the instruction to see all of the Ss and monitor them better. T will say that: "I want you to ask and answer these questions with the person who is in front of you. then when I clap my hands, I want men to move around so your partners will change, and you should ask and answer the questions again with your new partners." Then T will say: "Now, start." 3. T will monitor the Ss very carefully in this stage and will write the Ss' mistakes on a piece of paper. 4. T will write the most common mistakes on the board at the end of the class and ask the Ss to correct the sentences themselves.
