Take the cards, read it and match it with the pictures. Ok? You are group 1, you are 2 and so on.. When I call group one, come and stick it on the board. ( showing the blue taks on it) ICQ : Who is group 1 ? Who is group 2? What are we doing? Are we matching cards? Feedback1 : Here I can ask W/C if the match is correct. If not I will nominate student(s) who matched it to change. I will also pronounce the words and phrases while checking the answers. My instruction during feedback :Thank you all. What are they? I get up every day. I have breakfast every day.
Here the students will be introduced with the reading text. I will chest it (Task before Text) and attrack their attention to the pictures and ask them what's this man's job in the picture can be. After they guessed it, I will ask some other questions to guess again. 'What time does he get up?', 'What time does he have breakfast?', 'What time does he start work?', 'What time does he have lunch?' I will write some gueses on the board. Then, How is life? Is it boring? Is it exciting? Is it interesting? Is it different? I can write some adjectives on the board. At the end, I will ask 'Is it glamorous?' showing the title on the top of the page. (If necessary, I can write some adjectives on the board.) Is it glamorous? ( I will also use my body language to show exciting and boring)
Students will be given some time to read the text to see if their guesses is correct or not. Instructions : Ok, now, read the text and check your guesses Ok? ( I will show the guesses I noted on the board) Feedback : Ok, Tell me about your guesses. Are they right or wrong? What time does he get up? Your guess....... is correct. Bravo ! Great job? If I would have some more time at the end of the lesson, I will use small w/b to write different clock time and divide the board into sections. For example (05:00) I will ask : What time is it? Answer : 6 o'clock. Ok, Sam Dane gets up at five o'clock. Is it morning? Is it evening? Is it night? Ok, he gets up ........... (here I will try to elicit the answer. If they can not say it properly, I will say 'in the morning'. If they could, I will congratulate them.)
