T will show some pictures on the WB by using PPT and ask students what they are and what the relationship among them is and elicit the words "getting together".
Ss will work in pairs to discuss the following question (T will show it on the WB by PPT): - Make a list of ways people can do the following things Get to know people/ Get in touch/ Meet a future partner Feedback: T will elicit some responses.
T will hand out the reading text and a folded paper in which there are 2 questions for the gist reading task. T will tell them "Don't worry about the unknown vocabulary, just answer the questions." Ss will answer the questions individiually by skimming the text and then check their answers in pairs. Feedback: T will elicit a few ideas for each question.
T will hand out a paper in which there are the words and pictures. Ss will match the words with the correct picture individually. Feedback: Check the answers in pairs. One student will come the WB and write his or her answers and then whole class elicit (Drill some pronunciation) If Ss are not clarified enough, T will do some clarification.
T will tell Ss to unfold the paper handed out for gist reading task and answer the questions according the text. There will be 9 comprehension questions and Ss will need to read the text carefully. They will work individiually. Feedback: Check in pairs, and whole-class elicit (with justification).
T will regroup the Ss (3-4 students in each group) and will hand out a paper in which there are 4 personal questions related to the context. While Ss are discussing their opinions T will monitor them. Feedback: Elicit some ideas from the groups. Do some error correction on the WB if you hear while monitoring.
