In this lesson, students will be introduced to telling the time in English. They will practice telling the time through a variety of activities.
Subsidiary Aims

To give Ss practice in reading and speaking through activities such as writing and reading their mobile numbers. To provide Ss practice in saying the time with natural pronunciation.
Procedure (31-44 minutes)
Teacher ask Ss to write their mobile numbers on a piece of paper. Provide the paper. Ss read their number to the T. In pairs repeat their numbers to each other.
Give Ss cards with words on it. Ask Ss to put the cards in the correct order on the board. What is the theme of our lesson? Time. Show a clock on PP. Ss practice question What time is it? It's 12 o'clock. W/C and T nominate Ss to practice the question form and the answer.Then Ss nominate other Ss to ask the time and tell the time.
Ask Ss: What time is it? Ss ____. Elicit to Ss that it's not only hours (o'clock) Ss practice past and to and quarter. T tell time in quarters and Ss draw the arms on their clocks.
In pairs Ss ask each other questions and guess the appliances. Ask Ss what are appliances? Machines you use in your house. Then Ss match the appliance with the picture. Ss say it is appliances with time. Tell Ss they will listen to a conversation and they need to match the conversation with the pictures. Compare with partner and listen again to check.

Ss use the worksheet and draw 7 different clocks. (S work alone). The in pairs, Ss a tell the time for Ss B and Ss B draw the clock.
