T. will ask the ss to look under their chairs. They'll find an invitation to a birthday party. They will be asked to come to the birthday party. Before they come, they will know that there will be new people there and T.will ask what information they want to know about the new person. T.will write the ideas on the board. Then they will be asked to form questions in group of three, then compare with other groups. T. will divide the board into 6 sections and want ss to write the questions under the proper column.
T will give the “what about you” HO 1 and want them to write down the proper questions solo. (3 minutes) After writing the questions, they will be asked to make a dialogue with their partners using the questions (5 minutes) Then they'll be asked to mingle and interview with a different person in class. Everybody will stand up and start asking questions to other ss. They should interview with other people. T will monitor and take notes if they make any errors. (7 minutes)
Then ss will be provided with the 12 questions (HO 2) and asked to answer the questions individually, they will write full answers. First they will review the questions, then they will write the answers. Those papers will be collected and given to ss and they will make a guess by using the paper / information. They will work in pairs to guess the persons. Then they will tell their guess and how they make a guess…
After the productive task and follow-up T will write down the sentences students utter during the activity and elicit the correct form from the ss. At the end of the lesson, ss will be provided some more exercise to review at home. (HW-HO)
