Procedure (28-43 minutes)
Teacher plays a video clip about demonstration and elicits some words like demonstration, protesters, slogan. Then continues with teaching other words through pictures. CCQs are asked e.g.: T shows people walking in the street and asks if they are demonstrating.
T asks why people demonstrate. Then asks students to match slogans with causes. T gets FB and writes the answers on the board.
T draws Ss attention to pictures on page 71 and sks them to guess Their slogans. T plays the audio and gets feedback.
T gives the HOs and asks Ss to read the T/F sentences. Then she plays the audio for the second time and gets feedback.
T pre-teaches some words like anti, against, in favor. CCQs: Do they have positive meaning or negative? Do they agree with the idea or disagree? T asks Ss to match the words in the box with the sentences. T asks Ss to write the correct answers on the board and checks any unknown words.
T demonstrates the activity and asks Ss to stand up and ask their friends' opinions about exercise 1 and why. T gives colorful paper to Ss and asks them to find their partners and sit together . Then they should talk about their friend. T gets FB by asking some Ss to explain.
