Students sit/stand in semi-circle. One student stand in the center of the semi-circle as the leader. The teacher gives the leader a set of word cards and give each student in the semi-circle one word card. The leader reads the word on the first word card and says," I'm thinking of a word that rhymes with, for example, cat". The student who has the word card with the rhyming word written on it, for example, rat, shouts "rhyme" but he/she does NOT say the word out loud. Instead, he/she moves to the center of the semi circle and pantomimes the rhyming word, for example by flapping his/her arms like a bat. The other students in the circle try to guess what the student in the center is miming.
