Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets ss.T shows 4-5 pictures of different sports. Ask: “Which sport do you think I tried before?” ss guess.T reveals the correct answer and ask: “What about you? Did you try any of these sports?” T says discuss in pairs and say if you have same or different answers. T listens to students.

Pre-Reading/Listening (5-7 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T says we will listen to an interview with Juliet talking about sports but before this let's learn some words to help us. T shows a photo and asks what can you see? T listens to ss. T says a charity.T asks " Does a charity help people?" (Yes) "Do they give people money or help for free?" (Help for free) T drills the word chorally and individually. T asks is it verb,noun or adjective? noun T writes the word on the board. T says shows a photo and asks what can you see? T listens to ss. T says sports camp. T asks is it for playing sports? yes T drills the word chorally and individually. T asks is it verb,noun or adjective? noun T writes the word on the board.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

While-Reading/Listening #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

T says now we'll listen carefully to the same audio and choose the correct answer. T says read them first. T plays the record. T says check together. T shows the answer key.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T do you know about your friend's favourite sport? let's know about them. T says at the end tell me a new information about your friend. Another speaking task, agree or disagree

Feedback (5-7 minutes) • To correct any errors have been accrued during the tasks.

T says great job every one! I heard great sentences. I heard...... says... which is a great sentence. T says now I'll write some points here together think if they are good or we need to correct them. T writes on the board. ss correct and discuss T corrects one by one with them.
