Procedure

Lead in/ Exposure (13-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students, To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Game: “Two Truths and a Lie (Present Perfect Edition)” Students create two true statements and one false one using the present perfect.

Useful Language (48-50 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Conditional Conversation Dice (25 min) Students roll a die and answer questions using the present perfect. Example Prompts: What’s the most difficult case you have ever treated? Have you ever worked with exotic animals? How has your work as a veterinarian changed over time? Storytelling Challenge – “What Happens Next?” (25 min) Teacher starts a story using the present perfect, students continue the story. Example: “I have treated many dogs with skin infections, but this one was different...”

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Open Discussion (20 min) Students choose their own topic related to veterinary work and share experiences.

Feedback and Error Correction (3-5 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Instructor highlights areas to improve and gives positive feedback.
