Procedure (50-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (8-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
“What’s the most unusual case you have heard of?”
Useful Language (13-15 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
Gap-Fill Exercise: “I have treated __ similar cases before.” “We have never seen __ like this.”
Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Audio Clip: A vet discusses a difficult case. Comprehension Questions: “What was the problem?” “What solution was suggested?”
