Procedure

Warm up Video (2-4 minutes) • To get students focused and ready to learn

Play a short dance video from YouTube,

Review (5-7 minutes) • To review structure This is my ....

Put the structure on the Board. Play Guess the Picture. Students will see a picture that only shows a small circle which moves to show bits of the picture but never all of it. Let students guess which article of clothing it is.

Review Structure These are... (5-8 minutes) • To review the target language

Add These are my ... to the board. Remind students about the differences between the 2 structures. Practice with slap the board.

Review Plurals and singular (5-7 minutes) • To help students differentiate between the two structures accurately.

Play the side to side game Divide the board in half. Students line up in the middle and then the teacher will show a word on the slide. These will need to happen quickly. Students will jump to the side the word belongs and make the sentence. If the student jumps the wrong way or they hesitate longer than the others they will be out.

Structure Review (4-6 minutes) • To review the target language

Review structure Is this your ____? Add this to the board under the Singular side. Play Quick Form of Crazy Train. (only one round)

Structure Review (5-7 minutes) • Review structure for Are these your...?

Put the structure Are these your ....s? on the board on the plural side. Play a keep or Throw game.

Final Review (8-10 minutes) • To encourage students to use practice using multiple structures to talk about their clothes.

Play a Roll and Read game on the Pair Work Place mats. Students will be handed a placemat. Students will roll a dice to get a structure they must complete. Students look over the words on their side of the place mat and try to make a sentence to complete the round. Once they have made a sentence the student will place a peice from their pencil case or from their small bags. The winner has the most at the end of the lesson. Before giving the mats to the students play a few rounds with the class as A or B teams.
