Procedure (35-49 minutes)
Play a dance video to encourage kids to get moving.
Review Period 1 words: dress, shirt, t-shirt, skirt, hat and the structure This is my... Make a connection to the new words by asking about the shoes they are supposed to be wearing. How silly it would be to only have one shoe and such. Practice pronunciation of the new words especially the end 's' sound.
Review the structure These are my... in relation to the new words.
Play the Box capture game Teacher calls one of the four items that the kids should be wearing and the kids will touch and make the sentence. When the teacher calls box, stuedents will try to take the box.
Write the new question on the board. Are these your…s? Elicit the answers for yes, they are / no, they aren't. Procure some student's shoes or point to their trousers or jeans to make examples.
Practice with a game. Give students a small picture card. There are different options for each of the new words. These small cards match the teacher's large cards. The teacher asks everyone are these your …? And students that match say yes, they are. They run to the front to put their cards in the box. After have all students who didn't go up say no they aren't. Play until you have received all the picture cards back.
