To provide fluency speaking practice in a discussion in the context of brain facts

To provide specific information listening practice using a text about characteristics of left brained and right brained people in the context of Brain

To provide clarification of the words in order to describe characteristics of left&right brained people
Procedure (45-55 minutes)
T puts a picture of a brain to set the context of the lesson and asks. Ss what they know about brain. Then get them to read `Brain Facts` and ask Ss what they have learnt. Ask if they know if they are Right or left brained
T pair the Ss A&B.Tell Ss that they will be doing a quiz to each other in order to see if they are left or right brained. When they finish the activity get Ss to total up each others points. But they will keep the results to themselves.
Check Ss know the vocabulary from HO. Get Ss to group them into `I know` and `I don`t know` columns. Then get Ss to help each other to explain.
Tell Ss that they will know find out the meaning of the questions that they did ask to each other. Then they will decide if the characteristics in the chart are typical of left or right brained people. Ss listen and note L&R next to the items. Ss do peer check and get some FB
Get Ss to explain each other what their results meant. At the end, if there is enough time' get Ss to discuss ex 4 in small groups.
