To provide review of the past simple tense and regular and irregular past form of verbs through a reading context to expose the students what they are going to learn
Subsidiary Aims

To provide clarification and practice of past simple in the context of what happened in a dog cage and practice the accuracy as well.
Procedure (39-51 minutes)
Ask students to talk about what they did yesterday and try to make them use past tense.
Ask students to do the exercise "starter" to expose them to the target language and learn some new verbs.
Here is a reading text which students have to read carefully and this is the most important part of lesson.the students read the text and face some past simple and learn them through the task.
In the exercise no.3 students have the opportunity to practice what they learn.this is the productive part of the lesson.they look in the text they read just before and this time they pay more attention to find the past simple verb.
The grammar box helps students to learn the form and meaning.in exercise 5 they learn the question form in format of some examples in which they can learn and practice some wh questions.
the practice named "making connections" is the language practice in which students use the verbs they learnt.they also make some sentences and get familiar more and more.
