Focus on Leisure
B1 (Intermediate) level

Description

In this lesson students will be focusing on speaking, with sub aims of functional language and listening. We will start with a warm up by asking Ss about what type of magazine they read and why they like it. We will then listen to people designing a magazine, followed by two questions on the board about it. two sets of vocabulary - professions and vocabulary from the text - that will be presented through a mingling and a controlled activity. Ss will have the opportunities to make predictions about the text, and they will then skim it to see if they were right. We will then do a more speaking activity where students will design a new community lifestyle magazine and explain their ideas once they finish.
