Description

In this lesson, the students will take part in an "Ice Breaker" activity called Star Facts. The lesson will start with a short introductory conversation between the students and the teacher. This will be followed by the teacher demonstrating the Star Facts activity. After the demonstration the students will make there own Star for themselves. Finally the students will be given time to ask questions to other students about their star facts.

Main Aims

To create a good rapport between the students and the teacher. In other words, for the students and teachers to get to know each other.

Subsidiary Aims

For the students to talk and interact with each other and the teacher.

Procedure (9-14 minutes)

Introduction (2-4 minutes) • Introduce myself to the class

I will introduce myself to the class using a similar dialogue that the students learned yesterday. Hello, my name is Mer. Nice to meet you. etc.

Demonstration of Star Facts (7-10 minutes) • Show the students how to do the activity

I will draw a star and my facts and prompt the students to ask me yes or no questions.
