Description
In this lesson, the SS do a listening practice and learn new words to describe likes and dislikes. At the end, as a subsidiary aim, they perform a speaking exercise through a roleplay.

Procedure (34-45 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
The teacher shows a picture in which four students are moving and asks the SS what they are doing and tries to elicit the word "moving" from the SS.
Pre-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
The SS try to guess whose house the four students are moving into and try to guess the meaning of the bolded words.
While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks
The SS listen and read the conversation and try to check their answer. They listen for gist here.
While-Reading/Listening #2 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks
The SS listen for detailed information and choose the correct words in the sentences.
Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
The SS roleplay the conversation in groups.
