Procedure (36-49 minutes)
T will talk about himself staying in Istanbul and ask Ss about clothing stores near the institute. He tries to elicit 2 or 3 items and activate thier schemata. Don't let it take more than 2 minutes.
Ss will be given a HO in which they will be supposed to match the vocabulary to the pictures. This should be done in groups of 4. T will monitor and tries to find out the problematic lexis to focus on after the task. ( ICQ: group or alone?) Feedback and error correction at the end. (CCQs to check)
Ss will stand in 2 lines and look at the person in front for 2 seconds, then they turn around and say what the other student is wearing using 'have' ( I think you have a white shirt). Then they change their partners. ( don't forget ICQs and modelling)
T will introduce Ss to the concept of 'some/any' by giving them a task on a handout to do. They won't unfold the sheet until they finish the first part. The answers will be checked in pairs and written on the board by the Ss. (Monitoring)
Ss will be given a gap-fill to work on individually. The teacher will be monitoring for any problem and will write error correction sentences on the board to work on later. Ss will check their answers in pairs.
T will write 3 sentences on the board and will try to elicit the verb 'wear'. T also will make sure they know the meaning for 'sometimes' , 'usually' and never through eliciting.
Ss will stand in 2 circles in carousel mode and use the new structure and the new learnt lexis to talk to each other about their favourite cloths. They then will change roles. T will monitor for any problem (do not forget ICQs and modeling).
