Procedure (42-57 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
-Use realia ( a baby,a calculator,a dog) to generate SS' attention
Test #1 (3-7 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language
- PW - Give SS a handout to test their prior knowledge - Peer Checking - Whole class checking
Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage
- Teach the difference between a time clause and a main clause on the WB. - Give them the pre prepared hand outs .
Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
- Solo Work Ex.4 + Ex.5 - Peer checking before whole class check.
Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
- Settle the pairs.. - They will pick one of the items from the bag. - Ask SS to make sentences using the items and the future clause
