Materials
Main Aims

Subsidiary Aims
-
to encourage students to recognize food names
Procedure (44-58 minutes)
Teacher greet students by saying "How are you?", then students take turns and ask each other. Teacher asks "What's the weather like today?". Students answer. Then teacher adds (if necessary) "Is it windy?", "Is it cold or warm?" Then listen a song "Are you hungry? (Super Simple Songs), after it teacher ask students "Are you hungry?", 'Is your mum hungry?', "Is your brother/sister hungry?", 'Is Nikita hungry?"
On the board there is a word FOOD and studens say by one word they remember. You know a lot of words! Then teacher shows the cards and name them, students repeat after teacher. Every student chooses a card he/she doesn't remember well. All students sit in a circle, the 'difficult' cards are on the table (they can't see them), every student takes a card, shows it to others and name it, then next student takes next card and name it also repeating the previous one. Do in a such way several times.
Teacher takes food card and says "I like ....', takes next card and says 'My mum likes ....', takes next card and says "My friend likes...." Teacher writes on the board: I like..... He likes.... / She likes.... Anna likes..... / Jack likes..... I don't like..... He doesn't like.... / My mum doesn't like.... / Anna doesn't like....
Now students` turn. They can choose any card they want and say abut themselves, their mum and dad and friend using "I like.... / My mum likes... / My friend likes...." or they can take the card they can't see (it's more interesting) Now everyone is in a bad mood and they don't like anything. The same task - student takes a card and say "I don't like...", "My mum doesn't like...." etc
Listen, sing and dance I like to eat apples and bananas (Super Simple Song) Then sit down and make sentences from separate words (I / apples / like) (don't / like / carrots / like) (burgers / does / not / like / Anna) etc
Teacher shows one card with a name or a pronoun and another card with food and make a smile or a sad face that means like or dislike. Students one by one say sentences 'He likes... / she doesn't like...' etc Students write one true sentence and one false sentence about yourself, and the same about one friend - 4 sentences. Then read and guess what is true and what is false.
Look at the HW. read the task and clear up if there are some difficulties
