In this lesson, students will learn the authentic reading that is a poster about a lost dog and they will have to understand the information about the lost dog.

Main Aims

To provide detailed reading practice using a text about Lost dog in the context of reading a poster
Subsidiary Aims

To provide practice of language used for informing the others about something they lost in the context of reading a poster
Procedure (18-27 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
students have to put the animals into correct group. PETS (or) WILD ANIMALS
While-Reading/Listening #1 (5-7 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks
Students have to scan the poster about the time and the place the dog got lost and they must memorize the information about the lost dog for the extended tasks
Post-Reading/Listening (10-15 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
Students have to do their extended tasks about the text and they have to take part in a role play where one student is the dog owner and the another one is the one to inform the lost dog by reading a poster
