At this stage of the lesson I am going to talk about different rules for women in my country to set the context of can/ can't and engage the students by showing them some related pictures.
Students are provided with a text about their Country turkey and they are going to choose the best option CAN or CAN'T to make a true text about their country and check their answers in pairs. And then they will have 4 photos of different parts of San Francisco, they are going to listen to a conversation and put the photos in order and then check their answers in pairs. In this way I am going to provide context for the target language through a mini text and pre-listening.
First, students are going to match 8 activities in pairs that Rachel talked about to these three places (Golden Gate Park, Nob Hill and Fisherman's Wharf) and then they are going to listen to the audio again to check their answers. Finally, the teacher presents the grammar part and clarifies it according to MPF.
Students are going to listen to a track practicing weak and strong form of can and can't and then they listen to another track to choose the correct sentences they here, according to the sentences they are provided with. Finally they check their answers with each other in pairs.
At this stage students are provided with a HO designed by the teacher. They have some information about different countries as what people can do in these countries. They going to swap their information in pairs asking cam people ........? Can I .........? and getting information from their pair. And finally, in mingling activity they get information from other countries.
