Elicit target language through mimes with pen/my pen, bag/your bag, our classroom etc. Contrast forms on the board with their pronoun equivalent, introduce 's briefly as another way of expressing ownership. Drill pronunciation through shouting game in teams, T shouts pronoun, S shouts adjective. Replace with student teacher. Alternative: Do in a circle with ball throwing. Thrower says pronoun, catcher says adjective. Increase speed, start with words on board then remove slowly.
Call up volunteer SS, Ss make sentences in front of the board using words they are holding to highlight word orders. Repeat 2 or three times for This is my pen My pen is black Mohammed's bag is small and red Our classroom is very hot
Ss complete gap-fill exercise on page 27 of course book, feedback by checking answers from the listening.
Model task and discuss how to extend answers to include personal adjectives. Ss circulate and in pairs ask and answer questions from their paper slip to other students. After both questions have been asked, students swap papers and then continue moving around to talk to at least 5 people. Feedback delayed error correction, or ask for any interesting information.
