Procedure (30-45 minutes)
T will stick numbered paragraphs about her to the walls, and Ss will read them to complete the sentences written on the WB about the teacher. Firstly, they will decide in pairs, then, WC feedback will be provided. Instructions You will work in pairs. (1,2,3,4). There are paragraphs about me on the walls. With your partner read the paragraph (number 1,2,3,4) and find: live have I work like study You have 2 minutes. ICQs Will you read all paragraphs? No( only my number) Will you only read? No( I will find information about you) How much time do you have? 2 mins. Now discuss with your partner in 1 minute. So, I live...
T hands out beginnings (5) and endings(10) of the sentences. If there are 10 Sts in class, Ss with beginnings mingle and find 2 partners. If there are fewer Ss, T divides them into two or three groups(A,B,C) and they do matching activity in their group.(2 mins) T nominates Ss from groups to write their answers on the WB.(2 mins)
T clarifies the difference between ' a flat', 'a house' and 'an apartment' and highlights the use of 'in' with them.( but 'at home'). T clarifies pronunciation and drills with Sts.
Sts will work in two groups. They will complete the phrases under the pictures in 2 minutes.(face2face wb). WC feedback will be provided.
Ss will listen to the text about Ricardo and will decide who Cecilia, Carlos and Diego are. They will check in pairs before WC feedback.
Ss will listen to Ricardo the second time to find correct information about him. They will check in pairs before WC feedback.
T writes 4 sentences from listening text on the WB: I work for a car company. You study English. We live in the centre of the city. They like Chinese food. T checks meaning with CCQs: Do I study English only now? (no, always) It is always true. T elicits positive and negative forms from Ss. WC drill the sentences.
T hands out a text with gaps about Sandra.(face2face student's book) Ss will individually fill in gaps with positive or negative forms of the verbs.(2 mins) Then, they check their answers in pairs. WC feedback is provided.
Ss write 1 true and 1 false sentence about themselves. (2 mins). They say their sentences to their partner, and their partner guesses if they are true or false by saying: I think that's true/false. Yes, you are right. No, you are wrong.
