Description

In the lesson students learn present continuos and new words about clothes. The lessons starts with the disscusion about favorite clothes of students and then asking them what celebreties are wearing and then asking them how to say that he wears something in the current moment. Via these question it is possible to lead them to the new topic about present continuos

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set a mood of english class and practice

Do a few tongue twisters

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Show students pictures of famous people at hte Met gala and ask their opinion on the looks. By that you can check how did they learn new words from homework exercises

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

When students are talking about Met Gala looks, ask them to think, how would they say in english "на нем надето/ она одета в...". With this questions they might remember some forms or phrases that they may already heard from somewhere. Then, say an example, outloud and ask them "what is "ing" in this word? What does it show?"

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

With 90% students will not answer correctlly what is ing and whad it does. At this moment start an explainaition of the topic. When is it used? Show all the cases Then, show the construction. How to make a present continuos sentence. Statement, negative and question sentence

Controlled Practice (8-15 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Give them an audio and ask them to focus on the sentences in the audio. Try to write down all of the present continuos forms. After that, compare what everyone has heard and after ask one by one, why pr.con is used here and here and here • Действие происходящее в настоящий момент речи • Непостоянные, временные действия (I am reading an interesting book. Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ask them to make up the dialogues in pairs of 3-4. For example: someone is window shopping with friends and they are trying new clothes on. They ask each others opinions

Homework (2-5 minutes) • To remeber the construction of the present continuos

Упражнение 1. Добавь окончание -ing к глаголам, распределяя их по строчкам в соответствии с написанием Упражнение 2. Напишите глаголы, от которых образованы данные причастия. Переведите их на русский язык. Упражнение 3. Выберите правильную форму глагола BE. Упражнение 4. Переведите на английский язык.
