To start the lesson the teacher will write two sentences on the board. He may understand what is really happening. The fair could have been in any town in Europe. The teacher will then go through the sentences and the rule and what the difference is. The teacher will write another two sentences using may or might. One in the present use modal verb + infinitive and the other in the past use modal verb +have + past participle. For example: He may understand what is really happening.
