-
introduce students to each other
Procedure (28-42 minutes)
Students are given 2 dice to roll one by one. First, each student rolls both dice and remembers the number they got. If numbers repeat, they need to reroll the dice untill they get a different number. Second, students are asked a question from the list corresponding to their number. After that, students answer the questions in turns (taking turns from the smallest number they have to the biggest). While one student is speaking, the others are trying to remember the facts and making one extra question each. After every student answerd their question, the others may choose one student to ask their additional question. No repetition. Every time a different student is asked.
Students are given the list of 8 statements about IELTS. Their task is to work in pairs and try to identify if the stateents are true or false. After finishing the quiz, have a discussion as a whole class, correcting the false statements and answering the students' questions.
Students are devided into pairs or groups of three and given docs with the description of the general structure of the exam. Each group is given a certain piece of information about one of the exam aspects(reading, listening, writing, speaking). Every unit is appointed to read and make a summary of what they learnt to be able to present this information to the others.
