Teacher gets WC FB and writes the unjumbled sentences in HO-1 on the WB to use the sentences as models.
Teacher will use many sentences to show the student differences between the verbs. Teacher checks the understanding of past conception first. Then, students will be given the rules with "-d and -ed" through model sentences and also be given also a list of irregular verbs.
Students write the past simple forms of the regular verbs in the HO which is already given in Hakam's lesson. They practice the rule with -ed and -d. Students compare their answers.
1- Students listen and practice the pronunciation of both regular and irregular verbs in past form. 2- Students listen to sentences that present the difference between Preset Simple and the Past Simple.
Students will read about Mark Beaumont's journey. They fill in the gaps with the Past Simple of the verbs in brackets and they practice the form of the TL. They work in pairs and compare their answers.
Students will be given a sheet including "work on your own activity". Students think about the last time they visited a different town or city and write 6-8 sentences. They are given the phrases to use. After they finish, they tell each other about the last time they visited a city.
Students are given a crossword puzzle in which they can practice the present and the past simple forms of the verbs. If they want, students work in pairs.
