Procedure

relating (10-12 minutes) • • Activate Prior Knowledge

- Greeting the students - calling the roles - Asking students whether they are interested in going to the gym and staying fit. - Encourage students to do exercise by sharing the teacher's own experience with working out and meanwhile using the previous words that the students have learned like blood, body, and heart. This will be done to engage students in the topic of the lesson.

Experiencing (20-25 minutes) • It provides learning by doing through exploration and discovery

Write sentences with the target words as blanks, translating them to Persian to match the students' low level. Help students guess the Persian words that should be placed in the blanks for each sentence individually. ask students to look for the right picture that matches the word (the pictures are attached to the wall.) Ask the student who found the right picture to try to pronounce the English word for it while helping her with it. The student will say the word and the other classmates will repeat it.

Applying (5-7 minutes) • It gives opportunity to students to put the concepts to use in a real activity.

Since the level of students is low, they will be doing this stage of the lesson in groups. Divide the students into groups of 5-6. Ask students to write a short story (3-4 sentences is enough) about Mr. Microbe and his adventures in their groups. The students will be encouraged to be as creative as possible. Then, each group reads their story to the whole class and their classmates will briefly discuss it.

Cooperating (10-12 minutes) • It is learning in the context of sharing and communicating with other students.

Divide students into groups of 5-6. Prepare slips of paper with the target vocabulary words written on them. One student from each group takes a turn drawing a word from the slips without showing it to their teammates. They then have one minute to draw clues on the board while their team guesses the word. If they guess correctly within the time limit, they earn a point for their team. Rotate turns until all words have been drawn. The team with the most points wins.

Transferring (2-3 minutes) • It is using knowledge in a new context or novel situation.

Due to limited time, this stage will be presented as a home word for the next week. Students will take a picture of what they think they will be able to have a healthy life like a healthy meal and then they will write a caption for the picture by using at least five words of the lesson. they will share the pictures as posts on Shad for their teacher.
