Procedure (35-49 minutes)
T. sticks picture on the WB and sticks some opposite adjectives(good- bad, hot-cold, big-small ,new-old, cheap-expensive, beautiful-ugly) mixed on the board. T. asks them to come to the board and stick the adjectives next to the related picture. T. checks the meaning and then drills if necessary.
T. gives the exercise 1 about adjectives and asks students to match them with the pictures. After they finish, t asks them to check their answers with their pairs and then t. checks the anwers with WCFB by eliciting the meaning and drills if there is a problem with the pronunciation about these adjective.
Teacher writes some words on the WB (a stadium, a seat, New Year's Eve, fireworks, a party, a match) and elicits the meanings and then drills.
T. gives the texts to the sts and asks them to scan and find the vocabulary that they have just learnt in the texts. After they finish, teacher asks them which texts involve these vocab.
T. gives students questions about the texts and asks them to read the texts again and answer the questions. After they finish t. asks them to check their answers with pairs and then checks the answers with WCFB.
T. gives handouts to the sts and asks them to read the sentences. T. asks if the sentences are about past or present. And then t. gives another handout to the students and asks them to complete the gaps in the table with was, wasn't, were, weren't. After they finish, t. checks the answers with WCFB.
T. gives handouts to the students and asks them to choose correct form of to be. After they finish, t. asks them to check their answers with their pairs and checks the answers with WCFB.
T. asks them to find out which person says each sentence in the exercise 5 in pairs. T. checks answers with WCFB.
