Description

In this lesson, the Ss will be practicing the modal verb "can" within the context of Animals. They will also be introduced to the negative and questions forms of the target language. The linkage of 2 sentences with "and" and "but" and how they are used with "can".

Procedure

Warmer/ Lead-In • To introduce myself and animal lexis

- I will introduce myself, because this is my first lesson with this new group and ask their names. - I will stick on the WB the pictures of the the animal lexis to be used in the lesson and try to elicit from the ss the pet names. - I will post the Pet exercise on the WB and demonstarte the first one, and disrtibute HO for the initials of the vocabulary. - The ss will one by one come and put the initials on the big pet sheet.
