Description
In this lesson students are going to read a text about two ice cream seller
and learn about contrast between interest of customers and sellers
Materials
Main Aims

To provide detailed reading practice using a text about competing stores in the context of ice cream sellers
Subsidiary Aims

To provide accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of business
Procedure (22-39 minutes)
Warmer / Lead in (2-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
to ask students have they ever seen two or many of same kind of store in the same street and what they think about their competition and the key to their success
Pre_reading (3-5 minutes) • pre teach essential lexis
students will be informed about the meaning of vocabularies by use of pictures sunbathers_seller_solution_zone_ customer_
While reading #1 (4-6 minutes) • to provide students with gist questions and skimming task
I will ask students to read question A and B and then read the text quickly so they can answer those qustions
While reading #2 (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed students
I will ask students to read question d and read the text carefully and complete paragraphs
Post reading (8-15 minutes) • To provide students with opportunity to practice what they learned
Ss will have conversation about the similar situation that has hapoend to them
