Main Aims

To develop the skill of writing in two different activities like survey and matching the words to the pictures.
-
To provide students with fluency practice in the context of some food items.
Subsidiary Aims

Vocabulary, to raise students’ awareness of some words about food.
Procedure (35-43 minutes)
-Greeting the students. Hello everyone, how are you today? -Show a picture of a picnic to set the context of food asking what the people in the picture are doing and what food is there. -Put Ss into small groups and give them some extra time to discuss. -Take w/c FB.
-Highlight the vocabulary with flashcards and stick them on board (biscuits, bananas, chocolate, cheese, oranges, sandwiches, crisps) -Puppet out, Eliciting here. Ask Ss how might the puppet feels after seeing all those food. Accept hungry.
-Drilling here. Teacher needs to set a dialogue so Ss can using in their speaking. I'm hungry I've got some bisuits let`s eat mmm delicious. -Checking understanding by showing biscuits or even the flashcards, by applying the action eating, and being delicious after eating it. -I write the structure on board. CCQ: Is it bad or delicious? Delicious. ICQ: Are we writing or speaking? speaking.
-In order to develope students’ fluency, in pairs student practice the dialouge on board for speaking fluency.
-To get ready for some extra speaking practice, I play the song "Do you like .....?" and get them ready for a survey. -As a whole group Ss ask each other questions starting with "do you like". -During the activity, I observe the Ss checking their understanding and scaffold them in need.
-In order to practice some spelling, slips of papers are sticked on wall. Class is devided into As and Bs. As go to the wall and try to dictate their partner what is written until a cartain of time then switch roles. -The paper says: "My favourite Food is Chocolate"
-Handout from Mini Magic 2 Student Book page 46. -In pairs ss write down the words under the correct picture. -Checking while observing. Goodbye song
