Teaching Practice 2
Upper Intermediate level

Description

In this lesson, students get to review and extend their awareness of future perfect and future continuous. This will be done mainly through controlled and semi-controlled practice in the context of future goals. The lesson will start with two lead-in activities. In the first lead-in activity I chose my sister as an example to talk about her future goals from my perspective. The second lead-in activity is more specific as it will deal with the main topic of the lesson which has to do with health issues. During this activity, students will get to notice the target sentences and will actually set the stage for the next section of the lesson plan which focuses on form. After the meaning and the form of the target language are introduced to students, they will get to practice more the target language. Students will continue to practice the target language but this time with focusing more on the time phrases that they have in one of the exercises. As the sub aim of this lesson is speaking, students will have the chance to speak to each other about their future plans. Students will continue to practice speaking the target language but this time by talking about specific topics e.g., health, job, family). Students will do some back chain drilling so that they become more familiar with the target language. The last activity will be a freer where students will get more chance to practice the target language through speaking.
