Main Aims

  • To provide accuracy speaking practice in a Speaking IELTS in the context of Health

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about IELTS Listening Gap-filling in the context of Health

Procedure

Warm up for Sub-Aim (25-35 minutes) • Listening

We look at the pictures and talk about the picture on page 70 and go over the vocabulary. Then the students will answer the questions in pairs. Then we will go over the questions. After that, we will continue with analyizing techniques of the listening. after the listening analysis is doen we will listen for the details to fill in the blanks. then we check it together.

Warmer/Lead-in (10-15 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

we work on the vocabulary on health that is provided

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

the students will be seeing the questions. I will provide them with sample answers. then we will be analysing the methods used in my answers then the students will work in pairs

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

we will talk about simple present, simple past, simple future, present progresive, future progresive, past progresive, present perfect and their passive voice in addition to coditional type 3.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

the students will work on the questions. T will monitor the students.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

the mistakes will be written on the board the students will fix them then we will talk about reducing grammatical errors and mistakes and usage of vocabulary.
