Vocabulary: To introduce and practice adjectives to describe criminals e.g burglar
Procedure (28-41 minutes)
Procedure: Stick the pictures on the WB, then try to illustrate the word 'crime'. Questions: Whats happening in the picture? Why is the police arresting the man? What did he do? Try to illustrate the word 'Crime' from the students Then ask the students what crimes the pictures are related to, and how high they are in Turkey.
Post the headings from the text on the WB Allow student to imagine what the text will be about.
Pair the sts with groups as they are seated. Distribute the two different picture from the HO separately to each group, and tell them to discuss for a minute about what might be going on in the picture. Then ask random students about their thoughts. Distribute the text and allow them to match the pictures with the text. Swap the students and they talk about what text they had. Procedure: Gist reading. - Allow students to match each passage with the sustainable picture. Concept checking question: Do you have to read it fast or slow? Slow
To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice. Procedure: Chest the HO again and explain the second exercise to the students. Explain the example. Then ask them to complete the sentences by checking the text. Then ask them to compare their answers in pairs before checking it with the class.
Have a class discussion about the exercise 3. -Review the vocabulary to be sure they know them. -Introduce the exercise with an example. -Allow them to work individually . -pair checking for answer.
In pairs pass out group of questions different to Student A and Student B Students will ask these questions to there partner and then they swap.
