Procedure (39-54 minutes)
As the previews lesson was "My name is ... and nice to meet you". I will practice it with two or three of them to get to know the better and to see that these lessons are practical in real life and also to connect it to new lesson . I will tell them after that we might ask the person "what's your number". Lets' practice the numbers or review it if you them already.
I am going to count the numbers from 1 to 20 with students. Then stick the spelling of the numbers onthe board and put the numbers itself on the floor and ask them to catch one from the floor one by one and stick it with its match on the board. and then distribute the number quiz(HO A) to them to check their understanding.
They should listen to the conversations and match the conversations with pictures.I will give them the listening paper (1.14 , pg.10 )and demo what they should do.I might play it twice if they ask for it.
Exercise 1.15 - I am going to read the conversation for them and they will repeat it after me after that thy will do it in pairs.I will give the instruction to them.
I am going to write this on the board: My phone number is 966 0438.it's 966 0438. It is = Its then tell them that we use it for things such as chair , book , door . and then pointing at them and say he or she . and then giving them the grammar exercise paper on pg. 11. I will demo an example for them. Ex: Where is Susan from? Susan is from Turkey. She is from Turkey
I will play the conversation for them and then pause it sentence by sentence and ask them to repeat it. after that I will ask them to do it with their partners.
in this stage they should walk in the class and ask two people about their mobile and home numbers and write it on their forms. I will demo it before giving the papers to them.
