Procedure (32-42 minutes)
SS look at the pic on p61 and answer the Qs: Is the pic old or new? Why do you think so? Do you have any old pictures at home? Who is in those pictures?
SS listen to the dialogue part 1 (track 6.03) and answer the Q: Who is in the old picture on p61? SS listen to the dialogue part 1&2 (track 6.03) and answer the Qs in ex 3a. (pairs) Peer-check. Whole class check.
SS complete ex 3b Peer check. Whole class check.
SS complete ex 3c +3d in pairs. T asks CCQs. T draws SS' attention to the weak form pronunciation (ex 3f). Indıvıdual drilling, choral drilling. T nominates SS to read the dialogue in ex. 3d considering the pronunciation of the weak forms.
SS complete ex a&b p. 149 individually. Pair check. SS nominate their peers to answer.
T arranges SS in pairs. SS complete the questions with the correct form, then ask and answer in pairs. 1. When were you born? 2. Where were your parents born? 3. What was the name of your best friend at primary? 4. What was your favourite subject at high-school? 5. What was your favourite cartoon character when you were a child? 6. Was yesterday a good day for you? Why? 7. Where was your last holiday? When was it? 8. Who was your role-model when you were a child? 9. Was this lesson difficult? Was this lesson clear? T monitors.
