To provide clarification and practice the adverbs of frequency in the context of house chores.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide specific information through a listening and later on to enable students to produce some sentences about themselves using the adverbs of frequency.
Procedure (30-42 minutes)
Gradual disclosure of the pic of a robot to gain their interest See if they remember who he is. Who helped the boy in the house? What is he bad at? In pairs How often does he break plates and cups? How often does he put the knives and forks in the right place? How often does he put the chair in the wardrobe?
T: 6 ss here ,please.Pick a number from 0 up to 5 .Then make a line starting from 0 up to 5.Use the numbers as a badge. Students make a human cline. Now come on ,pick a glass . Teacher shows 0 . T:Do you need any water in your glass? S : No.T : Nothing. T shows 5. T:Do you need any water in your glass? S: Yes and T starts pouring water in the glass until the child says "enough". Then try to pour water for the other numbers until they stop me. The advs all around , ss pick the one related to their number.
3 different examples to show the right place of the adv and clarify the place by writing on the board and eliciting. 1- I am always happy. 2- My father sometimes cooks dinner . 3- My mother doesn't often take the rubbish out.
Do this exercise( similar to the one in the course book ( 4 )) ,projected on the board. T: Pick these and put them in the sentence. Provide an example , ICQ,then let them do it . Others can come and check .
T: Listen. First , tick what jobs she does . Give an example.ICQ. Ss are on task. Second time, listen and write how often she does the job. Give an example,ICQ.Ss on task. Then check with the person sitting beside them.
T: Write 3 sentences about what you always / sometimes/ normally / often /don't often / never do .(using the prompts given).Giving them time to do the activity. T :Now stand up and find someone who does at least 2 similar activities. T monitors.
