Students talk in pairs to do the 'Speaking activity 1 and 2', they talk about friends and what makes them good friends, then they share answers as an open class activity. For Speaking2, after the working in pairs activity to complete the sentences, teacher writes other ways to complete the sentences on board.
Students work in pairs to put the text in the correct order then students listen to the recording to check their answers.
In exercise Vocabulary 3, students complete the questions with the words in bold from exercise Vocabulary 1. Teacher writes 4 more questions on white board to provide more collocations with the same verbs.
In exercise Vocabulary 4, students work in pairs to interview each other by asking the previous questions in exercise Vocabulary 3 and they produce the target language in a freer activity.
Students change partners if they finish earlier than expected, teacher could also continue with error correction on white board if there is still time left.
