Procedure

warm-up (3-5 minutes) • Sharing personal problem about kind and unkind actions

The teacher will begin the lesson by presenting an example involving a problem with the classroom toy, Panny. Panny is the classroom toy that students know well. Students dance along to the song for the warm-up section.

Exposure (4-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a situation

After Panny greets students, she wants to learn the new words for kind and unkind actions. The teacher shares the poster on PowerPoint about new vocabulary and asks the students to repeat it as a drilling activity.

Controlled Practice (7-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

The teacher shares the screen with the students, and they will start choosing the correct picture answers. For example: "What action do you see in the picture? Is it kind or unkind?" This game allows all students to participate and practice. All the students join the game.

Semi-Controlled Practice (15-20 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for craft

The teacher shares the screen and asks the students to review the columns and understand the cutting, sorting, and matching activity by concept-checking questioning (CCQ). The teacher carefully observes the students’ motor skills during the cutting and sticking tasks.

Highlighting - Differentiation (5-6 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language in the puzzle game

For advanced students, the teacher shares the puzzle and asks the leader of the table to guide the other students on which they need more support. Fast students can be engaged to stick the puzzle poster ready. Each table has different pictures and the quickest table is the winner. Students must guess the correct word for the kind or unkind actions as they appear in the end.
