In this lesson, students will practice writing. They are going to write about the important things they did in their lives.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

- Teacher will show the students some famous people pictures (they learnt about in the previous lesson)and will ask them questions about them. - Teacher will try to elicit some key words on the board (e.g. was born, grew up, moved to), using timeline or fill in the blanks.

Exposure and Drilling (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

- Teacher will draw a mind map on the board, and will show the students an example, she will talk about one of these people, mind map will help them organize their thoughts they are going to talk about. - Teacher will show or write some question words on the board (e.g. When?How long?Who?How?Why?). - Teacher will use one or two of these words as questions to show the students the way it goes. - The students will drill some words or sentences. - Teacher will give the students some blank mind map handouts, so each two students will choose one of these people and try to fill at least two of the mind maps' points. Then they will discuss and write two to three sentences about that person. - Students will write some of these sentences on the board, and will discuss it with the class , then teacher will give WCFB.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

- Teacher will divide the students to A and B students. - Teacher will tell the students that she stuck a paper on the wall, this paper has her and her peers information. - Teacher will ask student A to read the information on the first part of the paper and student B will write the information on a paper, then they will switch. -Teacher will ask the students to write three sentences about their life. - They can use the verbs on the board ( was born, grew up, moved to). - Teacher will give the students some question words that they can use to know about their mates. - Students will ask their friends about some of their life's details ( they are free to use these questions or any other questions ). -Students will check with their partners if the information was correct . - Then the teacher will give WCFB and will correct their mistakes.

Productive Task and Error correction (if there is time) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

- Teacher will ask the students to talk about their life, Students will talk about the most important events in their life,and what are their future plans. - Students will talk to their peers and will exchange their life information - Students will talk about their classmates. - Teacher will provide error correction. (if there is time)
